Federal Board of Revenue Pakistan (FBR)

By enacting the “Central Board of Revenue Act,1924”, the department was renamed the Central Board of Revenue. The CBR was placed under the Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance from 1944 until 1960, when, on the recommendation of the “Administrative Reorganization Committee,” it was made a Division of the Ministry of Finance. Further changes were made in 1974 to streamline the organization’s functions.
