The Pakistan Medical Commission administers the Medical and Dental College Admission Test every year. King Edward Medical University administered the test until 2007. It is now held annually by PMDC since 2008. This test is required for all students who have completed their Intermediate. MDCAT Test Criteria
Two recent conferences have resulted in recommendations to the national academic Board from Pakistani dental colleges regarding lowering MDCAT pass rates for dental admissions. The Board directed National Medical to gather the average MDCAT scores of the provinces and Jinnah Sindh Medical University. Based on an analysis of the provinces, the MDCAT Pass Marks (BDS Program) have been reduced to 55%

Policy for Rescheduling During Exams
- You should use this option only in extreme cases, such as medical emergencies.
- Natural disasters, accidents, and conflicts with MDCAT exam dates.
- Any other exam is valid for Rescheduling and absenteeism.
- Rescheduling is only possible if a future date is available. It will not be an absolute right if a candidate is absent from their exam date.
