Normally Punjab boards schedule the annual exams of matric in all over the Punjab in the month of March and officials of Punjab Boards ensure to provide the date sheet at least one month prior to the commencement of the exams. But due to Covid’19 all the educational institutions remained closed for almost a year now this year the 9th and 10th class exams will be conducted as per the new schedule provided by the board authorities and in the same way it is expected that the date sheet will be issued in the first or second week of February. Early all the registered boards of Punjab have announced the information and dead-line to complete the admission. One thing must be noted that the board officials provide a separate date sheet for the theory and practical exams respectively. Though it was earlier to announce that the practical exams will not be held this year and the marks will be granted to the students based on the promotion policy 2020. According to the schedule as discussed in the education committee for board exams that the announcement made by the federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood it has been decided in the meeting of the national command and operation center to conduct the annual exams of matric and intermediate in the month of May and June. Although the Sindh education minister, Saeed Ghani has declared to commence the exams in July/August. According to the federal minister of education, one or two additional months should be provided to the students so that they can complete at least 60% of course work and then to take exam annually with respect to making the foundation of student robust and strong in this regard as well. Due to the prolonged closures against the covid-19 of the educational institutes across the country the academic and examination schedule got disturbed. The candidates have to follow the new schedule of the exams that will be going to announce soon issued by the concerned board authorities.
